What is Vision? - Vision is a clear, challenging picture of the future of the ministry as you believe that it can and must be. it asks of us to answer the question “what kind of Congress would we like to be?” Vision is subject to change. It is dynamic, not static. Over time, the vision must be renewed, adapted, and adjusted to the cultural context in which the Congress conducts business.

• Vision Encourages Unity — It encourages people to come and work together. It signals where the ministry is going and for all to come onboard. It fosters retention because the masses have bought into it as our work.
• Vision Creates Energy — Visions spark excitement and energize people. They supple fuel that lights the fire under the people.
• Vision Provides Purpose — It creates meaning in people’s lives. It gives them a sense of divine purpose.
• Vision Fosters Risk Taking — We create an adventure into the world of the unknown, yet knowing whose lead we are following.
• Vision Promotes Excellence --This calls for ministry excellence. Promote a standard of excellence. It is the effective and powerful advancement of God’s program through ministry and education.
• Vision Enhances Leadership — Godly servants who know where they are going and has followers.
• Vision Sustains Ministry — Ministry can be very difficult, even painful. A biblical, compelling vision encourages people to look beyond the pain of ministry

 Vision is CLEAR, CHALLENGING, A PICTURE, THE FUTURE OF THE MINISTRY, IT CAN BE, IT MUST BE!! !! 

What is Mission?

While the vision sets the target, mission guides year-to-year operations. This involves people, strategies, staff, administrative works... Mission is a broad, brief biblical statement of what the Congress is supposed to be doing.

The mission is what the Congress is supposed to be doing. It focuses on the functional question, “What should we be doing?”

Developing the Mission Statement

1. What is your congress supposed to be doing? To whom will it serve? How will you serve these people?

2. Can you articulate your mission in a written statement? What words communicate best? Will people understand it? Does format convey well the mission?

3. Is your mission statement broad but clear?

4. Is the mission statement brief and simple?

These vision and mission statements have been formulated to fulfill Article 3, Objective of the Constitution of the National Baptist Convention, U.S.A., Inc.:

Vision Statement

The Regular Arkansas Baptist Congress of Christian Education envisions itself as the most comprehensive, innovative and productive Congress in the Southern Region.

With a clear focus to educate and equip the churches of Regular Arkansas, the Congress will feature an enriched learning environment and a goal toward year-round operation. The source of substantive commitment to the gospel of the Great Commission will include a framework of both investment and preparation in our churches. Our goal is to nurture a generation of leaders and laity alike who will know the Lord, who are committed to a life of walking in faith, and who values are built on the hope of a risen Christ through the sequential study in the Word

Mission Statement

The mission of the Regular Arkansas Baptist Congress of Christian Education is to seek out a most highly qualified, trained and spirit filled faculty and staff for the operational task of building a broad Christian Education curriculum designed to prepare pastors, leaders and membership for mission and evangelism.
